Message from the Principal’s Office
Dear Parents & Carers,
As always it has been an action-packed couple of weeks at Marnebek….
Network Wellbeing Presentation
Last Wednesday, we showcased the fantastic work that happens at Marnebek School. Our leaders presented the wellbeing programs we provide to support our students to over 50 teachers and leaders from neighbouring schools. The knowledge and skills that our staff utilise to support students on a daily basis was very well received. Other schools will be positively impacted due to this and this is something to be very proud of.
Olympics Celebrations
Students and staff have been getting into the Olympic spirit over the last two weeks. Today, students dressed up in the colours of their country of origin and classes have been learning about the Olympics in classes across the school. At Corrigans Rd, students have been rotating through different sporting activities and having lots of fun in the process!
Aboriginal Culture & Dance Incursion
Last Friday, students across the school were immersed in Aboriginal culture and dance. Ganga Giri presented a highly engaging presentation on the iconic didgeridoo and Aboriginal culture. Students enjoyed getting involved by dancing and clapping along to the songs.

Grade 2 ~ Olympics
🔵🟡⚫🟢🔴
The grade 2 students have been completing the numeracy work around the Olympic games and we even got to re-create a Olympic torch relay. We have been recording the medal tally for some countries that we picked to watch and have been excited to update it daily. We keep up to date with the medal tally daily in the 2/3 corridor and are excited to talk about the Olympics with anyone that will listen.
Didgeridoo, Beats and Culture incursion ~3B
The students thoroughly enjoyed the Aboriginal culture incursion, especially the ochre dot painting on their faces.
We also enjoyed the cultural immersion experience during our musical sessions!
Olympic Day Grade 4
🟨🟦 Lego Club🟨🟦
We are thrilled to share the success of our LEGO Club, which has quickly become a favourite activity during recess and lunch breaks! The club offers a fun, creative space for our students to explore their imaginations.
Since its launch in term 3, the LEGO Club has been a hit, with students eagerly gathering to construct everything from towering skyscrapers to intricate vehicles. The atmosphere is always buzzing with excitement.
Not only does the club provide an enjoyable break from the day’s lessons, but it also helps students develop important skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and fine motor coordination—all while having a blast!
We are delighted to see the students so engaged and happy, and we look forward to watching their creativity continue to flourish. Whether they are experienced builders or just starting, every student is welcome to join in the fun.
