· Interschool Athletics Day: A day of competition and camaraderie with other schools, fostering sportsmanship and teamwork.
Farewell – Jenny Hamilton
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the farewell of Principal Jenny Hamilton. Jenny has been an exemplary leader, especially during the challenging COVID-19 times. She oversaw the complete rebuild of both campuses and worked tirelessly to support all our students. Jenny’s dedication and commitment to our school have been unparalleled, and she will be greatly missed. We wish her all the best as she embarks on her new role within the education department. Her legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire us.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Together, we look forward to a term filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.
Warm regards,
Chris Murray
Acting Principal

100 Days of Prep
On Thursday the 25th of July, Prep students celebrated 100 Days of Prep. Everyone looked wonderful dressed as their favourite hero. We celebrated with a Magic Show performed by Zoom the Magician. Zoom was really funny and made us laugh a lot. She also had lots of cool magic tricks. After the magic show Zoom made balloon animals for us. Everyone had a great time!

Werribee Zoo Excursion
We are thrilled to inform you about the exciting outing organised by the Year 8 teachers on Tuesday the 23rd of July. Our students had the incredible opportunity to visit the Werribee Open Range Zoo.
The excursion aimed to provide our students with an educational and enjoyable experience, allowing them to explore Australia’s diverse wildlife in a safe and engaging environment.
The excursion was a lovely way to consolidate the knowledge we have learned so far in our Science unit, Living Things. Students had the chance to observe and learn about fascinating animals. They participated on tours led by zookeepers who shared valuable insights about the animals’ habitats, behaviours, and conservation efforts.
Class 9/10B
9/10B have settled back into term 3 and are excited to be back at school. This term is going to be very busy with lots of activities and events occurring. 9/10B is lucky to have some amazing programs. On Mondays, we have some students involved in the school Café program. On Tuesdays, we have a new exciting sensory music program which some students trialled this week and loved. On Wednesdays, we have a group of students participating in a Chisholm sports program.
On Thursdays, we have our specialist program for food tech and music and on Fridays we have some students attending weekly basketball tournaments and upcoming sports opportunities. As well as all this, 9/10B alongside the 9/10 cohort are working in phonics groups on Mondays and running electives on Fridays. In class, we have started investigating informative non-fiction texts and students are working towards an animal fact report. We are starting to collect facts, categorise animals and thinking about how we will present our information.
We have students planning to create PowerPoints, posters and even give speeches to share the interesting facts they collect. 9/10B has also had a strong focus on SWPBS and presented at the first SWPBS assembly for the term with students sharing and modelling the value of the week “we listen and follow instructions”. 9/10B gave an amazing presentation, with special mention Lorraine for standing up the front and leading the assembly.
9/10B has had an amazing start to term 3. Well done!
