Investiture Ceremony
On Friday, 1st April, the school gathered for the celebration of the 2022 School Captains at a whole school assembly at the New Holland drive Campus. We had the pleasure to be joined by Anne Martin (Senior Education Improvement Leader), Lachlan Yates (Cranbourne Primary School Principal) and Ben Vevers (Barton Primary School Principal).
Jennifer and the Leadership Team talked about opportunities for the students and congratulated all of the newly appointed School Captains who stepped out of their comfort zones and took part in the process of applying for Captain positions in 2022. Students were selected not only their personal attributes and strengths but also their ability to demonstrate our school values of respect, rsponsibility and resilience.
Congratulations to you all!
Highlights - Myuna Farm & Funky Farm Excursions
On Wednesday, 6th April, Primary School students had the opportunity to go on an exciting excursion to Myuna Farm. Students were able to experience real farm life by participating in a range of hands-on activities with a farmer.
This included milking a goat, visiting the baby animals in the nursery, feeding bread to the bigger animals, planting our own seeds, walking through the produce garden and riding the train to the wetlands to feed the ducks. It was a wonderful day with many learning opportunities and fun experiences.!

News from Prep C by Mikaela Ramsay | Teacher
This week in Prep C, we have been exploring numbers and shapes. We went outside to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and draw our favourite shapes. We also practiced counting and used tally marks to help us count.
Prep A and 5/6 B
At Marnebek School, we offer our students a fantastic "Buddies program."
During term one, Prep A and 5/6 B students participated in activities that promote inclusion,
empathy, and positive role models. Encouraging self-confidence and developing positive
social skills and relationships across our classes.
Our Buddy class meets regularly to complete fun activities together. These activities include
literacy, maths, and crafts activities. The program has a highly positive impact on both the
Prep and 5/6 B grade students. The Grade 5/6 students learn the fundamentals of being
positive role members of our school community and embrace the school values through how
we communicate show empathy and respect those that need help.
We are looking forward to continuing our partnership after the school holidays and embracing
caring for others, respecting, and valuing differences, including others including being
responsible learners.

School Uniform
Dear Beleza School Uniform Customers and Community,
Important Update Re: Suppliers in Isolation due to Covid-19 Virus
It has been brought to our attention that all our suppliers in China have been instructed to stay at home due to the recent outbreak of Covid-19. As many are now working from home, production of garments has been halted and our suppliers are unable to track their production line and therefore are not able to provide us with updates on which orders have been affected.
We have also been notified that due to this outbreak, most suppliers will not be able to send orders to our warehouses at this time. Please note that we are still taking new orders, but production timelines may vary due to the unpredictable nature of the Covid-19 virus and may take longer than expected.
If you have currently placed an order with us, please be assured that once our suppliers can continue production, your orders will be completed and shipped to our warehouses as soon as possible.
If you have placed an order of items we have available in our warehouse or stores, these have not been affected and will continue to be processed as per normal. We will keep you updated when we have more information on the current situation. If you have any queries or concerns, please feel free to contact us at any time.
Regards,
Beleza School Uniform
Japanese Encephalitis Virus
JE virus has been recently detected in humans and pigs in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. It is the first time the virus has been detected in Victoria.
Japanese encephalitis (JE) is a rare but potentially serious infection of the brain caused by a virus that can be spread to humans through mosquito bites.
Limit your exposure to mosquitoes by wearing long, loose fitting clothes outdoors.
Use ‘knockdown’ fly sprays and plug-in repellent devices indoors.
Use effective mosquito repellents containing picaridin or DEET on all exposed skin.
Sleep under mosquito nets treated with insecticides if you don’t have fly wire screens on windows on your home or are sleeping out in the open.
