Message from the Principal’s Office

Dear Parents & Carers,

I am delighted to share some recent developments and updates from our school community.

Curriculum Day

I am thrilled to share that our recent Curriculum Day was a tremendous success! Our dedicated teachers engaged in insightful professional development, enhancing their skills to better support and inspire our students. Their commitment to continuous learning is truly commendable and directly benefits our students' educational experience.

Paralympics

It has been exciting to watch the Paralympics and see athletes demonstrating exceptional skill and determination. Their performances beautifully embody our school's core values of Respect, Resilience, and Responsibility. It’s a wonderful reminder of the spirit and character we strive to cultivate within our own school community.

Introducing the Song Room Program

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Song Room program at our school. This exciting new initiative is designed to promote student wellbeing through the power of music. The Song Room offers a creative space where students can express themselves, explore their musical interests, and build connections with their peers. We believe that this program will not only enrich our students' educational experience but also foster a supportive and vibrant community. Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to get involved in this inspiring journey!

Parent Opinion Survey

Lastly, I want to remind all parents and guardians that the Parent Opinion Survey is currently open. Your feedback is invaluable as we continuously strive to improve and provide the best possible environment for our students. Please take a few moments to complete the survey and share your thoughts with us.

The survey is conducted online, takes just 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at your convenience on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, or smartphones. The survey is available in English and 10 other languages, including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community.

Warm regards,

Chris Murray

Grade 3 Swimming

Grade 3 Swimming Lessons at Berwick Splash!

Our Grade 3 students recently took a splash-tastic dive into their swimming program at Berwick Splash! Over the days, our young swimmers have been building confidence and developing essential water safety skills while having loads of fun.

With the guidance of experienced swim instructors, the students focused on key areas like floating, kicking, and basic strokes. The program concluded with a mini celebration where students showcased what they learned. Parents, thank you for your support in making this program a success!

We’re proud of our Grade 3s for their hard work, and we can’t wait to see them continue to develop these skills both in and out of the pool. Great job, everyone!

News from 3B

In Class 3B, our students are taking big steps toward independence by practicing essential life skills! This week, we focused on meal preparation, specifically by learning how to prepare their own cereal. Each student got hands-on experience with pouring cereal into a bowl, adding milk, and using a spoon to enjoy their meal.

This activity isn't just about breakfast—it's about building confidence, developing fine motor skills, and fostering a sense of responsibility. Watching them take pride in their ability to prepare their own food is truly rewarding. We're excited to see them continue growing in their independence and self-sufficiency!

Well done, 3B! 🌟

News from Corrigans Rd Campus

Classroom Buzz 8B

Wow! What a busy term so far! And we would not want to have it in any other way. This term has been an amalgamation of so many wonderful activities in and outside classroom and has enriched our learning in numerous ways. We have been learning phonics, punctuation, parts of speech, simple addition, subtraction and multiplication time tables. Also, we explored different life cycles of familiar animals. There is never a dull moment in our classroom, and we enjoy our lessons with our teachers and classmates. The highlights of the term so far have been the Olympic activities conducted by our teachers, wherein students and staff participated in various sport activities. We coloured the Olympic torches and displayed them for everyone to see our beautiful creativity. We were very lucky to visit the Werribee Zoo along with our teachers and classmates on a bright sunny day. We enjoyed the bus-drive and the safari at the zoo. What a delightful sight it was to see our iconic Aussie animals from such close range. The camp at Philip Island was the best and the most awaited event of this term, and yeah, we nailed it. We were very happy to be a part of it and enjoyed it thoroughly. We participated in various activities organized for us and enjoyed the snacks and meals. We were well behaved and looked after each other to make our camp a great success. Three Cheers!
