Message from the Principal’s Office
Chris Murray
Dear Parents and Carers,
We've reached another milestone in our Capital Works project with the Education Minister James Merlino visiting New Holland Drive to officially open the construction process. Minister Merlino was welcomed by our school leadership team, discussing the exciting future and upcoming build at Marnebek. Minister Merlino also accompanied by our local Member of Parliament, Pauline Richards a long-standing supporter of our school.
The swimming program has wrapped up for the term with all our Grade Preps, Grade 1s, and Grade 2 students completing a full week of swimming, attending 1-hour sessions each day. A big effort, I am sure they will sleep well over the weekend. Well done to all students and staff involved!
Today we have around 50 senior students attending the basketball carnival day where they will compete against other schools, playing 5 games over 3 hours. It is a challenge that embodies our school values of respect, resilience and responsibility, we wish them all the best.
Finally, on Tuesday we held our Professional Practice Day for all staff. It was a great day with all staff participating in various learning and planning to best support our students.
Have a fantastic weekend and we look forward to another exciting week ahead!
Kind regards,
Chris Murray | Assistant Principal | Senior Pathways

Hard Cuddles Incursion
On Monday, 6th June, Senior Pathways students were fortunate to attend a presentation by Hard Cuddles. The Hard Cuddles organisation is an innovative mental health service that specialises in counselling, mentoring and peer support.
The next 5 sessions will be 1:1 mentoring sessions mostly in an outdoor environment doing an activity. The focus will be on building trust and connecting emotionally with the Hard Cuddles team. Our students were captivated by the stories each team member had to tell. It was so good to see our students engaging with the team after the presentation. We can't wait for the next session!
SSSSA Cross Country
On Friday, 3rd June, the Marnebek Cross Country Team travelled to Nortons Park Wantirna South to compete in the SSSSA Cross Country Event. All students competed extremely hard and represented the school well. It was great to see the students cheering on and encouraging their teammates.
