Message from the Principal’s Office
Liam Mara
Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been an exciting and jam packed fortnight at Marnebek School. Last week we celebrated ‘Education week’, this year's theme was 150 Years of Public Education. To coincide with this milestone anniversary for Victoria our student’s focused on the history of Marnebek as we travelled back through time of our rich 21 year history. The timing could not be more fitting as we embark on transformative growth along with the capital works.
There has been some major developments with capital works as we enter the demolition stage at New Holland Drive. Many buildings have been demolished as the mid-section of the school has become a building site. Our builders have had some interested onlookers with little toes and peering eyes keen to get a glimpse of what all the fuss is about behind the hoarding. The staff and students at New Holland Drive Campus have shown great resistance through the demolition stage. Corrigans Rd campus has also been busy with the hoarding completed, ready for the double story building to begin…exciting times ahead!
It has been a big week for our prep students attending their first excursion at ‘Puzzle House’ in Pakenham. It was a huge success travelling on a coach and exerting lots of energy on the mini gymnastics equipment. This will put them in good stead for the swimming program on 6th-10th June. We are so proud of our youngest students and the huge leaps they have taken on their short journey.
Today, 41 students from Grade 5 to Year 12 attended the SSSSA Interschool Cross Country event at Jells Park. They competed with determination against over 200 students and achieved some outstanding results. Congratulations to all involved, you have made us very proud.
Have a fantastic weekend and stay warm.
Kind regards,
Liam Mara | Assistant Principal

News from Learning Neighbourhood 1 | Prep Excursion
On Thursday, 26th May, our Prep students went to 'The Puzzle House' in Pakenham. It was a very exciting time as it was the first ever excursion! The students had so much fun and loved playing with all the sensory activities.
Some of their favourite things were travelling on the big bus and the light up water tube with fish. It was great to see that the youngest students at Marnebek School were displaying our school values so beautifully while out in the community. We can’t wait for the next excursion!
News from Learning Neighbourhood 4 | Cranbourne West Secondary College

Rebecca Huynh | Speech Therapist
Hi everyone, I’m Bec and I’m a speech therapist!
It has been great getting to know the kids here at Marnebek and I’ve enjoyed my time here so far which makes the job fun!
In my spare time I like going out to eat (Japanese food is my favourite) and going to the drive-ins with my friends and family. I also have a puppy called Arlo who is super cute, and I love taking him out to the dog park when I can!
