Message from the Principal’s Office
Dear Parents, Carers, and Members of the School Community,
I am delighted to reflect on what has been a fantastic and eventful week at Marnebek School. One of the highlights was our Investiture Ceremony, where we proudly recognised and celebrated our student leaders as they received their leadership badges. We were honoured to have Pauline Richards MP present the badges to our student leaders, making the occasion even more special. Seeing the pride on their faces and the excitement in their eyes was truly inspiring. I have no doubt that these students will grow into their leadership roles over the course of the year, and I look forward to witnessing their achievements and contributions to our school community.
I would also like to take this opportunity to inform you that school council nominations are now open and will close next Thursday, 6th March. Being a part of the school council is a wonderful way to gain insight into the inner workings of the school and contribute to its ongoing development at an operational level. I encourage anyone interested in playing a role in shaping the future of Marnebek School to consider nominating. Nomination forms can be found on the Compass portal.
Another exciting milestone this week was our first face-to-face assembly of the year, which was a resounding success. It was fantastic to come together as a school community to celebrate the achievements of our students. Having parents, carers, and families in attendance made the occasion even more special, reinforcing the strong sense of community that makes Marnebek School such a wonderful place for learning and growth.
Thank you all for your ongoing support and commitment to our students and our school. I look forward to sharing many more successes with you throughout the year.
Warm regards,
Chris Murray
Principal

This program helps build their confidence, creativity, and understanding of nutritious food choices.

News from Corrigans Rd Campus
Let’s hear from the Year 8’s
The Year 8 students have settled in well at the secondary school campus and have been actively engaged in a variety of learning activities.
In Science, students have been exploring insects and the wetland ecosystem. They walked down to our local wetland, where they researched the plants and insects that thrive in this environment. This ties in with the characters in our class novel, James and the Giant Peach.
Additionally, the students have been enjoying our weekly Walking Club. During these walks around the outskirts of the school grounds, they learn about the importance of regular physical activity and its role in maintaining overall health and well-being.
We are excited for the rest of the year and look forward to participating in even more engaging programs.
