Message from the Principal’s Office
Chris Murray
Dear Parents and Carers,
This week at Marnebek we held our first Student Support Group (SSG) for all students for 2022. It was fantastic to see parents, families, and carers onsite to hear from their teachers. SSGs are a vital component in ensuring our students are receiving targeted education and that we are all working towards the same goals. We understand that it's a very busy time and you may not have been able to make an appointment, however, please feel free to call your child's teacher and schedule an appointment.
As you are aware, as of term 2 we will be entering the first stage of our building project. This is a major milestone with works beginning at both the New Holland and Corrigans Road campuses. I'd like to reassure families that safety is our number one priority and all works will be completed above regular requirements.
In order to accommodate the removal of classrooms so the building can commence, we will be relocating two groups of students to Cranbourne Primary School and Cranbourne West Secondary. Students will be supported by Marnebek staff and work within their regular class groups. If you have any questions regarding student movement at this time please contact the school. We will also be holding parent information nights and tours of the schools as we move closer to term 2.
Finally, it was great to see the Senior Pathways students attend interschool sport last Friday. Interschool sport is a highlight for many students and with COVID restrictions easing we were able to attend the first soccer session for the year at the State Hockey Centre. Well done to those students, we look forward to hearing about all your achievements.
Kind regards,
Chris Murray |Assistant Principal
