Message from the Principal’s Office
Mandy Thomas
Dear Parents and Carers,
As Term 3 draws to a close we reflect back on what has been an exciting term across the school. The building works continued to gather momentum as both the New Holland Drive and Corrigans Road administration blocks’ renovations progressed. Initially this stage will see the opening of new offices, staffroom and first aid room at Corrigans Road ready for day one of Term 4 with the admin renos at New Holland Drive potentially being completed before the end of the term.
The swimming programs across Learning Neighbourhood 2 & 3 have been a great success over recent weeks with students enjoying the opportunity to develop their skills and water safety awareness.
R U OK day last week reminded us all what a supportive and caring community we are part of at Marnebek School. The students participated in some great classroom activities and the staff enjoyed R U OK donuts.
Some of our Year 7&8 students ended the term with a wonderful experience at ADANAC adventure camp this week which was enjoyed by all who attended. Both staff and students have returned keen to share some great stories.
Excursions to the Zoo and Gravity Zone offered some end of term fun for all our Corrigans Road students while the students at Cranbourne West tested their driving skills at METEC last week. This proved to be a wonderful experience for all involved.
In true Aussie style, we ended the term today with our annual Footy Day. From students dressed in their teams’ colours to lots of football-themed activities. A great time was had by all.
We hope you enjoy a fantastic term break and look forward to seeing you all refreshed for what promises to be yet another eventful term after the holidays.
Kind regards,
Mandy Thomas | Acting Assistant Principal

News from 5/6 B
Grade 5/6 B have had a great term. We started the term with a new teacher and quickly settled into the new routines. Throughout the term we have learned a lot of new things with a particular focus on improving the quality and presentation of our work.
We were super proud when one of the children in our class went to Adelaide to represent Victoria in the National Cross-Country Championships. Congratulations on your efforts T.K!
Our favourite part of the term was attending swimming lessons. Here are some pictures of us in the pool. Each one of us who attended grew in confidence in the water.
Swimming- Written by 5/6 D
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the grade 5/6’s went swimming. First, we went on the big bus to get to Splash swimming pool. Then, we waited to get into our swimming groups. Finally, we did a safety slide into the pool, and we had our lesson. We had a fun time at swimming!
