PRINCIPAL REPORT
Dear Parents/Carers, Students & Staff,
2022 has been a fantastic year for Marnebek School. This year saw the inauguration of the Senior School Formal as well as the introduction of our 4 Learning Neighbourhoods, with Learning Neighbourhood 2 and 4 being located at host schools, Cranbourne Primary School and Cranbourne West Secondary College, respectively. I want to give a special acknowledgement to all the teachers, staff, parents and carers in our school community for making the year run as smooth as possible. Your versatility and resilience have been incredible! To our students, you’ve all achieved a remarkable thing. Each one of you should be proud and if you’re a Year 12 - congratulations and I wish you all the best for the future.
In term 2, the first stage of our Capital Building Project commenced as planned, and the project is now well underway. As you are aware, we are building 3 new double-storey learning neighbourhoods at the New Holland Drive and Corrigans Road campuses. The New Holland Drive campus will also receive a new resource-intensive learning building, while Corrigans Road will receive extra refurbishment and landscaping. I am pleased to say that the administration building at Corrigans Road campus has now been completed. Exciting times lie ahead at Marnebek School! The new Learning Neighbourhoods will make a huge difference in the lives of our students.
This End of Year Newsletter provides a snapshot of highlights and memorable events of the year. As you will visit the pages of each Learning Neighbourhood, you will see the many facets of school life in each area of the school. Students have participated in a range of learning experiences over the year. There have been so many special events and highlights that have been enjoyed and celebrated this year – Investiture Ceremony, Harmony Day, 100 Days of Prep Celebrations, Book Week Dress Up Day, Camps & Excursions, weekly Whole School Assemblies to name a few.
Thank you to all the families who gave support to the school during the ongoing building development and entrusted their children to the school’s care. Thank you to all the staff at Marnebek School for your passion and dedication.
I would like to wish you all the very best for the summer vacation and look forward to welcoming you all back, refreshed, for what will be an exciting, new school year.
Warm wishes,
Jenny
